Guidance for Indian passport holders travelling to Australia and New Zealand on our Fixed Departure tours.
Indian citizens travelling to Australia for tourism must hold a Visitor Visa (Subclass 600) - Tourist Stream. Indian passport holders are not eligible for the ETA (Subclass 601) or eVisitor (Subclass 651), which are restricted to a limited list of other passport-holding countries.
Applications are lodged online via the Australian Department of Home Affairs ImmiAccount portal. Processing times vary and can take several weeks, so we recommend applying as early as possible once travel dates are confirmed and before any non-refundable flights are booked.
India is not on New Zealand's visa-waiver list, so Indian passport holders are not eligible for the NZeTA (New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority). A full Visitor Visa is required for all tourism travel to New Zealand.
Applications are lodged online through Immigration New Zealand's immigration.govt.nz portal. Immigration New Zealand has been transitioning visitor visa applications to a newer online system through late 2026 - check the official site for the current application process before starting.
A visa assistance service is available for select Fixed Departures directly through the booking flow on our partner portal (shown as an optional add-on during the Visa step of booking). Where this service is not available for a particular departure, we recommend engaging a registered visa consultant or applying directly with the relevant government portal well ahead of the payment deadline, since a visa refusal after final payment is treated as a standard cancellation under our Booking Terms.
